Craptastic

So...I joined Google+ just to do it and see what it's all about. I like it and the simplicity of the site is magnificent.

One bad thing though: I deleted the photos that were automatically posted there via my blog and Picasa. Doing so has removed the photos from my blog. I am very unhappy about this, but Google+ did tell me that would happen. I think I thought it was kidding...

I suppose I'll be restoring the photos over the next few weeks, but only the really good ones. This will be fun!

Yay.

Not.

  1. Jon, I've started to get Google+ invites from people, and it makes me want to cry. Do I *really* have to join and keep track of another site?!?

I only recently figured out how to hide Google Buzz on my gmail page! Wail!

Can you give me a compelling reason to look at this?

  3. BOOOO! That is super sucky, J! Is that why Tina's TPR banner is suddenly missing, too?

  5. I haven't gotten one single invite to google+. Even on my birthday. I'm so not sitting at the cool kids table anymore. LOL!

And, I thought it was just my computer that was messing with the photos!! Good to know. :)

  7. Haha! Now I know what happened! I want to try that Google circle thing too. Maybe I will see you over there (totally don't know how it works yet).

  8. First: I still don't know what Google+ is. Second: Now I really want to see those lost pictures. I'll check back to see them once you've restored!

  9. Ditto Heather. Also, my favorite FB post from an author friend regarding G+: "I went there and found myself friends with Neil Gaiman. I'm never leaving." haha

  10. Oh no! What a pain. You poor thing!!

When I transferred my blog to my personal domain, it deleted all of my various blog rolls. I have no idea what happened, so now I'd have to go back in and find all the links and add them all in again. It's exhausting just to think about it, so I haven't done it yet.
