My number #08 song comes from one of the biggest bands of my generation off their most recent album In Rainbows. I've listened to my #08 song on the freeway to the city and it'll take me seventy miles to realize that I have listened to it twenty times. It's captivating:
This is not the official music video, but I love the images
#08 "All I Need" Radiohead
And I adore their latest album's cover
Here's a throwback to the song that made them: (not the musvid, but who says no to JD?)
Hint for #07: rdiohds lead singer is the only artist to appear on this list twice
I didn't peg you for a Radiohead fan. Thanks for expanding my Radiohead horizons; I haven't heard a lot of their songs. I love their song, Creep (and sing it on Rock Band Wii)!
ReplyDeleteI love to RockBand it! And yes, I am a rdiohd fan!
ReplyDeleteYou know I had to comment on this. Love it --it's on my playlist. :)
ReplyDeleteRADIOHEAD! <3
ReplyDeleteAhhh, Creep reminds me of the first time I got drunk. I got a little (read: a LOT) sick and my BFF sang me Creep as she held my hair back. Ah, memeories of high school...
Man, I was so annoyed that 15 Step wasn't on the Twilight soundtrack even though it was in the movie. That song is SO GOOD.
And last, I just wanted to say, my FAVE Radiohead songs are Idioteque and Karma Police. And haha, now I've pulled out my CDs and am listening now!
Karma Police is good, but my favorite song from OK COMP is "No Surprises". The bell is so endearing and then Thom draws you into his story as though it's a book from your childhood.
ReplyDeleteYES, I love No Surprises. See, I shouldn't say I have favorites, because now I'm like, oh YEAH, add that one to my list, too.
ReplyDelete<3 Radiohead!!!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Muse has made the list?
Radiohead is awesome!! Great pick! This blog post series(?) is way fun :)
ReplyDeleteBut don't hate me k? I don't like King's of Leon. Maybe I just haven't listened to enough of there stuff. But the hype over them kind of bugs me too.
Still friends :)?
I love finding music that I can listen to over and over again!
ReplyDeleteCrystal - Trust me, I never hate people over their poor taste in music. The hype doesn't bug me at all, about anyone, except Lady Gaga because I listen to what I like. And really, I had no idea KOL was popular until last summer because I don't ever listen to the radio and I already had all their CDs, so to me, they were just a band I liked not international superstars, which they'll never be to me.
ReplyDeleteLaura - It happens so rarely to me, but when it does it's as though it were meant to happen.
ReplyDeleteI'm a totally uncool music person and have no idea who you are talking about. Please don't hate me. :-)
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of Radiohead. Bit I do like the In Rainbows album cover.
ReplyDeleteOkay...not freakingoutnotfreakingout.
ReplyDeleteDid you go into a coma for all of the nineties? just wonderin' ;)
Ummm...maybe. I told you I was a totally UNcool music person. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's okay, Shannon. I wasn't a music person until 2003 when I discovered Death Cab for Cutie.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, I can't wait to see what you post for Death Cab. Makes me giddy just thinking about it :D
ReplyDeleteThere most epic song ever. That's all I'm sayin.
ReplyDeleteTheir************* omg
ReplyDeleteI heard Radiohead at yoga today.
ReplyDeleteThis has really got me thinking about my favorite music...that's fun thinking, so thank you! Can't wait to hear #1.
ReplyDeleteTina - I can't quite see Rdiohd and yoga being a solitudinal mix, but I like the thought.
ReplyDeleteAnita - I think it's a lot of fun too! I guarantee you'll love my number, which has been in that spot since I was a child.
Ahhhh!!! I love Radiohead.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure we weren't separated at birth?
However, I have not heard this first one!!! Creep, of course I've heard, but dude, All I need? FABULOSO. I will be replaying this one over and over for the next three hours. Yay for me, boo for my family.
Poor taste in music?!!! Ouch. You have stung me.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I listen to the same song over and over. Lately it has been Hurricane by Bob Dylan. Before that it was Tnagled up in Blue...
ReplyDeleteCrystal - :)
ReplyDeletePaul - I love how the song becomes part of your background for the day after play number seven.
Rena - :)
And Jon, sorry for pegging (or not pegging you) :) All I knew of your music type was that you loved the Beatles and hated Lady Gaga...(oh and liked KOL). So I didn't see the grunge coming my way. ;) Is Radiohead grunge? I just think of them from the 90's...I'm sure they've matured out of that.
ReplyDeleteYes, the Beatles thing can create quit the peggage :) They are def not grunge anymore, but I do like their gunginess, it's just that I was under ten when they came out.
ReplyDeleteCool! Thanks for sharing--now I have a new CD to buy my husband. (He's more a R-head fan than I am.)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog so that I could find yours! Cheers!
